9th Annual IABA National Conference

Sterne Kessler was pleased to sponsor the 9th Annual IABA National Conference on April 20, 2024. The Iranian American Bar Association (IABA) is committed to human rights of the Iranian people. Among the speakers were Dr. Shirin Ebadi, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize for her pioneering efforts for democracy and women’s, children’s, and refugee rights, and Yasmin Chubin, winner of the 2024 IABA International Justice Award winner and a prominent human rights lawyer at the Clooney Foundation for Justice.

Director Joe Mutschelknaus was also a speaker on a panel entitled “Artificial Intelligence, Ethics & The Law”. The panelists discussed the ethical implications of AI and explored best practices for practitioners leveraging generative AI.
