Jorge Goldstein, Ph.D. will be the opening keynote speaker at the 7-day workshop “HUB of Marketing and Technology Transfer for the Americas” which will be held from May 22 to June 2, 2017 at CIBNOR, in La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico. This program is organized by the Organization of American States (OAS); the National Council for Science and Technology (CONACYT) of Mexico, and the Northwest Center for Biological Research (CIBNOR) of Mexico, with the support of the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), Purdue University, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Technical Group for Innovation of the Pacific Alliance. For more information, please click here and select English (located on the top right-hand side).
Jorge’s talk is entitled Propiedad Intelectual y Desarrollo Económico Global (Intellectual Property and Global Economic Development). It deals with the notion that Developing Countries should know and use the Developed Countries’ IP systems to leverage their locally-invented technologies so as to achieve worldwide impact. Our clients Silanes (Mexico) or Bioceres (Argentina) are good examples of this model.
