Industrial Design as a Protection Strategy for Dynamic Graphical Interfaces

Director Tracy-Gene G. Durkin will be a speaker at ABPI’s 40th International Congress on Intellectual Property, held virtually from October 19-22, 2020. Tracy’s panel, “Industrial Design as a Protection Strategy for Dynamic Graphical Interfaces,” will occur on Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 8:00 to 9:30 EDT. Panel Description

Industrial design registrations or patents usually aim to protect static images. However, there are several circumstances in which it is not enough to protect the images at a given moment, but indeed their movement on a screen. The panel’s objective is to know and discuss the strategies that have been implemented in Brazil and abroad to protect dynamic graphical user interfaces through industrial designs.
