Patenting Blockchain 2018

Directors Jon E. Wright and Richard M. Bemben attended Patenting Blockchain, a one-day conference at the EPO in The Hague, Netherlands on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. Given the increased application and use of blockchain technology in a variety of technical fields, this conference explored the IP protection and specifically, the patenting of blockchain technology and of its applications in different fields. This conference brought together stakeholders from business, academia, the judiciary, policymaking and patent offices for a series of lectures and panel discussions.
