Director Robert Greene Sterne gave a lecture titled “The Global IP Playbook for Entrepreneurs” for the Harvard University course ES139 – Innovation in Science and Engineering on October 24, 2023. Rob shared stories of invention and innovation in various industries and answered questions from students.

The talk dives into the critical role of IP for entrepreneurs and some of the challenges startups face when safeguarding their innovations. He provides best practices on managing IP from a strategic perspective, emphasizing how important it is for aspiring entrepreneurs to align IP strategy with business objectives in order to thrive in a global business environment.

The course, Innovation in Science and Engineering, is an interdisciplinary course that explores the creative and innovative approach of the world’s most successful people and is taught by Faculty and Fellows of the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS). SEAS is home to many of the world’s leading innovators, including Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg.
