Ellison, Ph.D. testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on the Judiciary’s Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet on June 23, 2022 in Washington, DC. Ellison was invited to testify at the hearing on “The Patent Trial and Appeal Board After 10 Years: Impact on Innovation and Small Businesses” by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler. She co-chairs Sterne Kessler’s Patent Office Litigation Practice and is a director in the firm’s Biotechnology & Chemical and Trial & Appellate Practice Groups.
As noted on the House Judiciary Committee’s website, the Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet “has jurisdiction over the Administration of the U.S. Courts, the Federal Rules of Evidence, Civil and Appellate Procedure, judicial ethics, patent, trademark law and information technology.”
