Director Jorge A. Goldstein, Ph.D. and Counsel Kristina Caggiano Kelly were featured in the article “IP Clinic Helps Protect Businesses’ Intangibles,” published by Washington Lawyer Magazine. The article discusses the firm’s collaboration with the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center to host the yearly Intellectual Property Clinic for Small Businesses, which began in 2017.
Each year, the firm and the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center host about 18 small businesses to help them protect their IP. “For a business that might be struggling or maybe even failing, IP could be the only asset they have left. And I think it makes it all the more important that intangible assets are properly protected and understood because COVID is making the world more intangible, not less,” said Kristina.
