Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox was mentioned as representing Core Optical Technologies LLC in the article “Juniper, Nokia Lose Board Challenge to Optical Networking Patent,” published by Bloomberg Law. From the article:
“Juniper Networks Inc. and Nokia Corp. were unable to persuade a U.S. Patent and Trademark Office tribunal to review a Core Optical Technologies LLC patent, the third time a challenge to the patent has failed to make it past the initial stage.
The Patent Trial and Appeal Board said it wasn’t convinced that Juniper and Nokia were likely to show any of the challenged claims in Core’s U.S. Patent No. 6,782,211 are invalid. The patent covers technology that Core says significantly increases data transmission rates in fiber optic networks.”
