WASHINGTON, D.C. (December 8, 2015) – Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox P.L.L.C. is pleased to announce Robert Greene Sterne has been named one of the “Top Ten Legal Innovators in North America” by the Financial Times in the 2015 Innovative Lawyers in North America report.
In acknowledging Mr. Sterne, the Financial Times reports, “Robert Greene Sterne has set out to understand and lay bare the complexities of patent litigation. From the start of his career, when he founded what would become the intellectual property boutique Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox a year after completing law school, he has created and led some of the most forward-thinking legal education programmes in intellectual property.”
Mr. Sterne’s breadth of expertise and leadership have been consistently lauded by his peers in the intellectual property arena. For this particular award, Mr. Sterne was chosen among 275 submissions and nominations.

The annual Financial Times “Innovative Layers” program, including a FT special report and an awards gala, recognizes individual lawyers and law firms for innovation in a variety of practice areas based on the originality of legal work, the rationale behind strategy, and the impact of the work on clients’ business. A panel of judges assess each nominee before determining the top ten. Mr. Sterne was selected as a top innovator among 275 submissions and nominations that were considered. The Innovative Lawyers report is compiled in partnership with RSG Consulting and is the only legal industry ranking of lawyers by innovation.
