Today, October 2, 2023, marks the 45th anniversary of Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox’s founding. On this date in 1978, Robert Greene Sterne was 26 years old with a vision to establish an intellectual property law firm comprised of the best and brightest attorneys and staff who would thrive on a foundation of excellence and collaboration. Edward Kessler joined the firm in 1981, Jorge Goldstein in 1983, and Samuel Fox the following year, giving the firm the partners for which it is named today.

The firm has grown from two attorneys at the time of its founding to 168 today, in addition to 295 IP professionals serving a national and international client base.
