Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox is pleased to announce that under the leadership of four associates, the firm raised over $34,000 for the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia (Legal Aid) during the organization’s 2022 Making Justice Real Campaign. Thanks to generous donations from Sterne Kessler employees and their networks, including matching sponsorships from directors across all practice groups, the firm’s fundraising total increased by nearly $10,000 from the 2021 Campaign. In total, participating law firms raised over $3,300,000 during the 2022 Making Justice Real Campaign, which began on June 6, 2022.
Sterne Kessler has been a proud supporter of Legal Aid and its annual Making Justice Real Campaign for many years. The nonprofit funds legal services for underserved communities in individual and systemic ways under its four practice areas – housing law, domestic violence/family law, public benefits law, and consumer law – as well as the Barbara McDowell Appellate Advocacy Project. As Washington, DC’s oldest and largest civil legal services organization, Legal Aid attorneys have been making justice real for individuals in need since 1932.
