Sterne Kessler Remains Among the Top Firms at the PTAB According to Docket Navigator Data

WASHINGTON, DC (January 24, 2018) – Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox P.L.L.C. is pleased to announce that the firm continues to be a leader at the US Patent and Trademark Office Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), according to data recently released by Docket Navigator and analyzed by Managing Intellectual Property. The rankings identify the top petitioners, patent owners, law firms and attorneys at the PTAB for petitions filed in 2017.

The firm remained among the top 10 law firms for representing petitioners and patent owners in PTAB proceedings. Sterne Kessler was the patent owner law firm for 42 petitions filed in 2017, and on the petitioner side, the firm represented clients in 45 proceedings. Overall, the firm secured a sixth place standing among law firms representing petitioners and patent owners combined, with 87 total representations.

Sterne Kessler has been a leader at the PTAB since the Board was established in 2012, having filed petitions or defended patent owners in 700 America Invents Act proceedings.
