Washington, D.C. (August 27, 2024) – Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox is pleased to share that the firm raised an impressive $43,490 for the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia (Legal Aid DC) during the organization’s 2024 Making Justice Real Campaign. That total is well above the firm’s $35,000 fundraising target, and places it among the top five law firm contributors by size (150-199 attorneys) in the District of Columbia – the first time Sterne Kessler has achieved this ranking.

Overall, the Legal Aid DC campaign, which ran from June 17-August 2, raised a record-setting $3.7 million. The campaign makes up roughly 30 percent of Legal Aid’s annual budget.

Sterne Kessler extends special thanks to Counsel Alexander R. Covington and associates Fei Sha and Matthew M. Zuziak for serving as its 2024 campaign co-chairs.

Legal Aid DC funds legal services for underserved DC communities in the areas of housing law, domestic violence/family law, public benefits law, and consumer law, among other services and projects such as appeals, immigration, and systemic advocacy. Sterne Kessler is a proud supporter of this nonprofit organization and has hosted a fundraising team for the annual Making Justice Real Campaign for many years.
