Overview

Ingrid S. Lin, Ph.D. is a technical specialist in Sterne Kessler’s Electronics Practice Group, where she assists in the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications. Her technical areas of expertise include semiconductor technology development, optical design, statistical process control (SPC), yield improvement, throughput enhancement, design of experiment (DOE), Cybersecurity, and AI solution integration.

Prior to joining the firm, Ingrid was a Senior Project Manager at a federal conservatory finance organization, where she delivered multiple information technology (IT) projects under enterprise operations and technology for ransomware recovery and network segmentation. She also worked as a Senior Project Manager at a leading global medical equipment supplier to deliver a smart collaboration remote service to support medical facility, enabling AR/VR (augmented/virtual reality) capability for laboratory diagnosis and machine maintenance.

Ingrid has over 15 years of strong working experience in the semiconductor industry. She was a Senior Project Lead at a leading global lithography supplier, where she was acknowledged with the Excellence award twice for her leadership in deep ultraviolet (DUV) immersion at 193nm and extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography technology at 13.5nm. She also worked as a Staff Process Engineer at a world class chipmaker from 32nm to 5nm technology nodes, where she successfully introduced and ramped up the production lines globally. During her time as a Staff Process Engineer, Ingrid authored more than 30 technical whitepapers and was recognized with a Division Achievement award.

She was also a postdoctoral researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Research Laboratory of Electronics working on NSF (National Science Foundation) and DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) funded projects on next generation fiber optics infrastructure.

Ingrid received her Ph.D. degrees from Purdue University, Electrical and Computer Engineering in West Lafayette, Indiana. She received her B.S. degree from National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan.
