Overview

Lauren A. Watt is a director in Sterne Kessler’s Trial & Appellate Practice Group. She concentrates her practice in the area of patent litigation, including matters before federal district courts, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and the United States International Trade Commission. Lauren has litigated cases involving a diverse array of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, mechanical devices, electronics, and software and is experienced in case strategy and management from pre-suit to post-trial.

Lauren is a contributing author of Patent Office Litigation, Second Edition, published in 2017 by Thomson Reuters Westlaw. The book provides a fresh and comprehensive exploration of patent office litigation proceedings, including how the proceedings interact with other aspects of patent procurement and enforcement, while delivering practical analysis and advice.

While attending law school at the University of Virginia, Lauren served for two years as an articles editor for the Virginia Journal of International Law and served as a Judicial Intern to the Hon. Randall R. Rader. She also participated in UVA’s Child Advocacy Clinic partnered with Legal Aid. Lauren received her B.A. in anthropology with a political science minor from Brigham Young University.
