Overview
Lisa B. Ritchey, Ph.D. is an associate in Sterne Kessler’s Biotechnology & Chemical Practice Group, where she assists in the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications and assists with patentability, validity, infringement, and freedom-to-operate analyses. Her areas of technical expertise include genetics, cell cycle, recombinant DNA technology, animal models, cancer biology, enzymology, molecular biology, cellular biology, and signal transduction.
Prior to joining Sterne and Kessler, Lisa was a NIH CRTA postdoctoral research fellow at the National Cancer Institute. Her research focused on studying novel signaling pathways involved in endothelial morphogenesis and angiogenesis. Her graduate research focused on regulation of cell cycle associated kinases in prostate cancer.
Lisa was a recipient of a NIH postdoctoral training grant, awarded a NIH Fellows Award for Research Excellence, awarded a UCF College of Graduate Studies Presentation Fellowship, and awarded first place in a Beta Beta Beta National Biological Honor Society Annual poster competition. She received her Ph.D. in biomedical science and M.S. in molecular and microbiology from the University of Central Florida. She received her B.S. in biological sciences from Florida State University.
