Em Richardson is an associate in Sterne Kessler’s Mechanical & Design Practice Group and Trademark & Brand Protection Practice. She assists in the prosecution of U.S. and foreign design patents and in trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement.
Em joined the firm in 2015 as a paralegal in the Mechanical & Design Practice Group, where she supported the prosecution of U.S. and foreign design patent applications in the consumer products, food and beverage, and footwear industries. After matriculating at the Georgetown University Law Center in 2019, Em worked as a Student Attorney at Georgetown’s Intellectual Property & Information Policy Clinic and served as the Co-President of the Student Intellectual Property Law Association. She gained experience with trademark prosecution, enforcement, and litigation matters as a summer law clerk at another firm before rejoining Sterne Kessler as a law clerk during her final year of law school. Em received her J.D. from Georgetown University and her B.A. in Government & Politics and History from the University of Maryland.
