Madeleine C. Bond is an associate and patent agent in Sterne Kessler’s Biotechnology & Chemical Practice Group.
During her time in law school, Madeleine gained diverse internship experience in a wide range of industries, from large general practice firms, in-house operations in the private sector, and homicide direct appeals with the Oklahoma Indigent Defense System. She was the operations editor for the Oil & Gas, Natural Resources & Energy Law Journal, in which she published a predictive expose over the hydraulic fracturing industry and its groundbreaking effect on Oklahoma residents, “Tort Theory, Litigation & Avenues for Relief: Hydraulic Fracturing in Oklahoma.” She was also the clerk for the Phi Delta Phi legal honors society, and the teaching assistant for the university’s Legal Research and Writing class during her 2L and 3L years. She graduated in 2023.
Born and raised as a proud Oklahoman, Madeleine was recruited to the University of Oklahoma to join the Women’s rowing team, ending her tenure as senior captain and being awarded Scholar Athlete of the Year by the university in 2019. While competing in D1 athletics, she completed dual degrees with special distinction in Chemical Biosciences and Latin and was invited to join OU’s Phi Beta Kappa chapter in recognition for her efforts in both the liberal arts and sciences. She also worked in OU’s Laboratories of Molecular Anthropology and Microbiome Research.
