Payton A. Miles is an associate in Sterne Kessler’s Mechanical & Design Practice Group. She assists in the preparation and prosecution of utility and design patents, both U.S. and foreign.
At the University of Richmond School of Law, Payton was the Editor-in-Chief of the Richmond Journal of Law & Technology and received a certificate in Intellectual Property upon graduation. She joined Sterne Kessler as a Summer Associate after her second year of law school.
Payton earned a Master of Engineering in Technical Entrepreneurship from Lehigh University, gaining valuable experience in product development and intellectual property concepts that ultimately led her to the path of becoming a patent attorney. She also earned a B.S. in Bioengineering with a concentration in biomechanics and biomaterials from Lehigh University while captain of the Women’s Swimming & Diving team.
