Reuben D. Moses is a patent agent in Sterne Kessler’s Mechanical & Design Practice Group. His practice focuses on utility patent preparation and prosecution in both the United States and abroad. In addition, Reuben assists clients in analyzing existing patent rights from both freedom to operate and patent validity perspectives.
Reuben has over six years of experience in patent prosecution, patent analysis, and inter partes review proceedings at Sterne Kessler as a patent agent, technical specialist, and paralegal, contributing to a diverse range of projects while developing an in-depth knowledge of utility patent prosecution and patent claim analysis. He applies this knowledge and experience to secure high-quality patents that will provide value and be useful to clients in advancing their business goals. He has prepared and secured patents and conducted non-infringement/invalidity analyses in a variety of technology areas, from consumer products to applications of machine learning. His primary areas of technical experience include: athletic performance monitoring systems, athletic footwear, eyewear, bicycles, liquid containers, interior and exterior doors, electric vehicles, cardless ATM systems, and mobile check deposit systems.
Prior to joining the firm, Reuben worked as a summer intern and case specialist at JusticeMatters, Inc., assisting attorneys in providing family and immigration law services to clients vulnerable to human trafficking. Reuben also performed multiple research assistant roles at Duke University, which included conducting research on nuclear resonance fluorescence (NRF) for the director of the Triangle Universities Nuclear Laboratory (TUNL).
Reuben received his B.A. in political science and a minor in physics from Duke University.
