Sarah Leesman is a registered patent agent in Sterne Kessler’s Biotechnology & Chemical Practice Group, where she drafts non-infringement and invalidity opinions; conducts freedom-to-operate, due-diligence, pre-launch clearance and patentability searches; and prepares ANDA notice letters, detailed statements and patent certifications. Sarah’s areas of interest include pharmaceuticals and atmospheric chemistry.

Prior to joining Sterne Kessler, Sarah spent nine years working for a generic pharmaceutical company. There, she worked as a chemist for three years before moving to the legal department where she managed the overall legal strategy of oral, parenteral, and transdermal drug products.

Sarah received her M.S. from Colorado State University in atmospheric science where her graduate research focused on the role of radiation fogs to scavenge aerosol particles and soluble trace gases from the atmosphere. She earned her B.S. in chemistry from Juniata College.
