Thomas M. Baraldi is an associate in Sterne Kessler’s Electronics Practice Group. Thomas’s practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the fields of computer hardware, wireless communications, and software-related technologies.
Thomas received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School. During law school, Thomas was a managing editor for the Wisconsin Law Review and a member of the Intellectual Property Students Organization. Thomas was also a student attorney for the Law and Entrepreneurship Clinic where he assisted Madison-area startups in trademark prosecution and business formation matters.
Prior to law school, Thomas received his B.S. magna cum laude in electrical and computer engineering from North Carolina State University. His undergraduate research focused on applying machine learning algorithms and signal processing techniques to genetic networks exposed to iron deficiency. Thomas also gained software development experience working as an implementation consultant in Louisville, Kentucky. He has experience in a variety of programming languages including C/C#/C++, Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, and MATLAB.
